Great Software

Here are some links to Software I have found very useful. Mostly free but some also have a purchasable version which offers more functionality. If it's shareware, I recommend only those that do not include adbots. If you find the software really useful, give the creator a donation. Many programs and apps are written by those not able to find software they need elsewhere, so they spend hours coding it themselves. Give them a little reward eh?

    My personal favourite CMS. I've built and upgraded many websites using Joomla, Its extensibility is amazing with many hundreds of free and paid for extensions available.

  • Web Link Serif

    I have been using the now 'Legacy' Serif Plus range of software since Windows 3. It was a great cost effective alternative to Microsoft and Corel products for both Graphic and DTP. I've not yet tried their new Affinity software but the reviews are great. Serif used to offer cut down free versions of the Plus range but as I cannot now find the link, I guess it's no longer available. Maybe one day they'll do something similar with Affinity.

    WordPress is open source software you can use to create a beautiful website, blog, or app.
